Dr. Yunus trial begins in case of violation of labor laws

Nobel laureate and founder of Grameen Bank in the labor law violation case. The court has ordered to start the trial by framing charges against Muhammad Yunus. On Tuesday (June 6), Dhaka Labor Court Judge Begum Sheikh Marina Sultana ordered the filing of complaints. Others of the defendants who started the trial are MD. Ashraful Hasan, Director Nurjahan Begum and Md. Shah Jahan Earlier in the morning, Dr. appeared in court. Muhammad Yunus. Dr. after the order to form the complaint. Yunus told reporters that an appeal will be made against this order. Court Dr. Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun appeared for Yunus. On 9 September  2021, in the Third Labor Court of Dhaka, Arifuzzaman, the labor inspector of the Directorate of Factories and Institutions, became the plaintiff. He filed this case against four people including Yunus. In the case, allegations were made under Section 4 of 7, 8, 117 and 234 of the Labor Act for non-deposit of specific dividends to the Labor Welfare Foundation, non-permanent employment of workers, non-encashment of public holidays.
