Certificates were distributed among the students of municipal club under the project of setting up adolescent classes in Barura, Cumilla.

On Sunday September 1 at 3 pm, Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Afroz Begum was present as the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony among the students of 2023 of Barura Municipality Kishore Kishori Club (Vanu Barura Haji Nawab Ali Pilot High School) under the jurisdiction of Barura Upazila Women’s Affairs Department, Barura Haji was the special guest. Nawab Ali Pilot High School Principal Md. Medhad Uddin, Field Supervisor Md. Mehedi Hasan. Journalist Md Sharif Uddin, gender promoter of Barura Upazila Kishore Kishori Club establishment project, Mir Mariam Akhter, assistant teacher of Kasami Government Primary School, Shakila Zaman, recitation teacher of Barura Municipality Kishore Kishori Club, music teacher Shahinur Akhter Rima, parent Rina were present as parent representatives. Farooq, Juma Das (music teacher), club alumni and 2024 batch students were present. During this time, students recited poetry, performed music and dance. At the end, certificates were distributed among the students of 2023 batch.

It is noted that Kishore Kishori Club is playing a special role in social and cultural activities with the support of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs to eliminate the tendency of students to drop out of school, reduce attention to textbooks and stress in studies, prevention of drug-child marriage and eve-teasing. The club is run on a fully government basis and each club provides lessons and cultural activities by appointing a gender promoter, music teacher and recitation teacher for thirty students (10 boys and 20 girls). Apart from this, one karate instructor is employed in each upazila. Directorate of Upazila Women’s Affairs is cooperating in all matters.
