An exchange meeting was held on the overall law and order issue of Barura Upazila of Comilla.
Comilla 08 Barura Member of Parliament Abu Zafar Mohammad Shafiuddin Shamim was present as the chief guest in the meeting chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nu-Emong Marma Mong at the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Saturday 27th July at 11:00 am.
Barura Municipality Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Ground) Ahmed Hasan, Barura Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Farhad Hossain, Barura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Riaz Uddin Chowdhury, former Mayor of Barura Municipality Bahaduruzzaman Bahadur, Aganagar Union were present as special guests. Council Chairman Md. Mazharul Islam Mithu, Jhelum Union Parishad Chairman Md. Nurul Islam, officials of various departments, journalists and civil society leaders were present.
In the meeting, discussions were held on various issues including the development of sewage system to alleviate waterlogging in various areas including Barura municipality, road and market reform, law and order in Barura upazila.
