Organized public health nutrition institutes through multi-faceted programs Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Office implementation in collaboration with Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture’s Nutrition in Urban Ecosystems (NICE) Project on the occasion of National Nutrition Week 7-13 June-2023 Adolescent nutrition seminars, paintings and lectures and Quiz competition is held. On the occasion of National Nutrition Week, a multi-faceted program on nutrition of teenagers was organized in the conference room of Dinajpur Civil Surgeon office at 4 pm on Sunday, June 11. Students of various government and private schools and government officials were present on the occasion. Dinajpur 250-bed General Hospital Assistant Director Dr. Md. Under the chairmanship of Sirajul Islam, Deputy Director of Agricultural Extension Department as the chief guest. Nuruzzaman said, “To develop talent, complete nutrition is needed. At present we have no shortage of food. Nutritious food selection and nutritional awareness should be increased. It is possible to build a complete nation through nutrition. If you want to see a nation rich in nutrition and smart Bangladesh, you have to win with complete nutrition. If nutrition is strong, we can build a smart Bangladesh”. Among the various activities, students from around 10 schools participated in Adolescent Nutrition Seminar, Painting and Present Speech and Quiz Competition on the occasion of National Nutrition Week. The lively program was enjoyed by the chief guest and guests of honour. Noting that, the NICE project is primarily working to improve nutrition and health systems by increasing the demand for and supply of local, safe, nutritious food for urban women, youth and people at risk.
