A bicycle rider died after being hit by Golden Line Kushtia G 11-0048 transport on Dhaka Khulna highway in Golando Zamindar Bridge area of Rajbari.
The deceased Abdul Akbar Mallik (48) is the son of Manchen Mallick of Mukundia village in Rajbari district. He has a wife, a son, Rafi and a daughter, Cynthia. He has been doing the business of tailors in Golando Gur Bazar area for a long time.
The accident took place on Friday February 2 at 1:30 PM in the Golando Zamindar area.
A passenger in the Golden Line Transport said that the driver of the transport was using a mobile phone in one hand while driving at high speed with the other hand. I forbid him again and again, brother, drive slowly and keep the phone away from your ears. He is not listening to us. In the meantime, I heard a loud noise in Zamindar Bridge area. The driver continued to drive the car without stopping, when the police arrived at Golando bus stand and stopped the car. At that time, both the driver and the assistant driver escaped. A passenger who was standing on the side of the highway for an auto at the spot said, “I see the man riding a bicycle on the side of the road from the direction of Golando. At that time, a car suddenly came from the Golando junction and hit him hard. He immediately fell on the side of the road with the bicycle.
