Anwar Sadat Jahangir: A complaint has been made against the non-governmental organization Aspada Environment Development Foundation by occupying the boundary of the government road in Trishal municipal area. The local residents have complained to the municipal mayor.
According to sources, a road has entered Trishal Bazar from Nowdhar to Trishal Bazar from the zero point of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at the zero point of Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, along with Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University bypass road. This road is connected to Nazrul Islam University road. An NGO named Unyanya Foundation bought some land along the road and set up a training center. Due to the construction of this building, the front part of the connecting road was closed. After the closure of the connecting road, they built generator houses and car parking on the road.
In this regard, the local residents have complained several times, but no solution has been found. They occupied the place and completed the construction of the building. Residents filed a written complaint in Trishal Municipality in this regard. In view of the written complaint, the municipal authorities visited the incident site to investigate and take action.
According to the complaint source of the locals, the road has been blocked by the installation of generators and car parking and the movement of the common people has been stopped. If they protested, they were threatened with various cases including extortion.
Ashpada Environmental Development Foundation MD Abdur Rashid said, the road is currently not in use, I talked to the municipal mayor and upazila executive officer and installed car parking and generator.
In this regard, Trishal Municipality Mayor ABM Anichuzzaman Anich said, local people have given a written complaint about the matter. The complaint will be investigated and necessary action will be taken.
