The executive council of the ‘Comilla Media Forum’ which made its debut by forming a committee with 33 executive and 34 ordinary members of journalists working in various media at the district and upazila levels in Comilla with the aim of maintaining professional standards and maintaining cordial relations between journalists in front of the slogan ‘Bringing journalists across the district’ The first meeting was held on Saturday (July 8) at the Capsicum Party Center in Comilla city. Comilla Media Forum President Sadiq Hossain Mamun chaired the meeting and there was a lively discussion about the organization’s plans for the next two years. Deputy General Secretary Zahirul Haque Babu presided over the meeting as Forum General Coordinator Humayun Kabir Jiban was on official assignment in a political program in Meghna Upazila. In the meeting, some decisions were taken about organizing the inauguration ceremony of the newly formed committee. In the discussion of the meeting, the executive members emphasized on organizing the inauguration ceremony on a large scale in the first week of September by keeping the families of all members on the invited list. Also, the membership of 34 ordinary members of the organization was finally approved and It is proposed to increase the committee by four more members to 71 members.
