College student hacked to death in Pirojpur for allegedly obstructing drug trade

Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College student Abdullah Al Noman Gazi was hacked to death on charges of obstructing drug dealing in Pirojpur. On Saturday night, around 9:30 pm, Noman Gazi, a second-year honors student sitting inside Gazi Enterprise in Jhatkathi Sahebpara area of ​​Pirojpur municipality, was hacked to death and seriously injured. However, a young man named Maruf hacked Noman Gazi to death for obstructing drug dealing, said Noman’s brother Emran Gazi.
The injured Abdullah Al Noman Gazi is a second-year honors student at Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College. He is the son of Md. Shahjahan Gazi of Sahebpara area.
The accused, Maruf, is the son of Shahidul Islam of Palpara area.
Injured Noman Gazi’s brother Emran Gazi said that a few months ago, Noman and locals stopped Maruf alias Kashai Maruf in Jhatkathi Sahebpara area on charges of drug dealing. At that time, Maruf publicly threatened to see Noman Gazi and local cooks. In continuation of this, on Saturday night around 9:30 pm, Gazi attacked the Enterprise shop and fatally stabbed Noman in the hand and stomach. Noman was rescued and taken to the hospital in an injured condition.
Doctor Swagat Roy at Pirojpur District Hospital said that Noman has sharp weapon injury marks on his hands and an injury to his stomach. He has been admitted to the district hospital.
Despite calling the accused Maruf on his mobile phone several times in this regard, he did not answer the call.
Pirojpur Sadar Police Station OC Md. Rabiul Islam said, “We have received a written complaint in this regard. Legal action is underway in this regard.”
