After the march of BNP in Jhalkathi, there was a clash between Jubo League-Chatra League and BNP leaders and workers. Six policemen including Sadar police station inspector Feroz Kamal and 9 activists including district BNP member secretary were injured. Police arrested 16 leaders and activists including District Youth Party Member Secretary Advocate Anisur Rahman in this incident. The injured policemen are- Inspector Feroz Kamal of Jhalkathi Sadar Police Station, SI Md. Shafiqur Rahman, SI Khokon Howladar, SI Nazrul Islam, ASI Kuhin Ahmed Shipon and Constable Motyar Rahman. They have been admitted to Jhalkathi Sadar Hospital. Later, bypassing the police barriers, the march passed through Kalibari Road, Post Office Road and ended in front of the party office. Hundreds of party leaders participated with placards and banners.
