Due to the transfer of the outgoing DIG of Sylhet Range Police Mofiz Uddin Ahmed PPM from Sylhet Range, Moulvibazar Municipality has given a civic farewell reception at the Municipal Meeting Center today on February 22. Moulvibazar Municipality Mayor Md. Fazlur Rahman Presided over by District Child Affairs Officer Jasim Uddin Masud, Honorable Member of Parliament of Moulvibazar 3 Constituency Neshar Ahmad was present as the chief guest of the civil reception ceremony. Member of Parliament of Moulvibazar-Habiganj reserved constituency Syeda Johura Alauddin, former Additional Secretary Banmali Bhowmik, Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan, Zilla Parishad Chairman Michbaur Rahman, District Superintendent of Police spoke as special guests. Mohammad Zakaria, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Kamal Hossain. The chief guest appreciated the long work of the outgoing DIG. He said in his speech that everyone will remember his various activities in Moulvibazar district as DIG of Sylhet range. He shed light on his various action plans for the development and provision of services to the district police and the people of Moulvibazar and his contribution to their implementation. The President expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of various organizations in providing services to the common people of the district through Moulvibazar District Police. In the civic reception ceremony, outgoing DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed PPM was given a memento by the people of Moulvibazar. Senior officers of district police, councilors of Moulvibazar municipality, officials of various departments and journalists of print, online and electronic media of the district were present on the occasion. Earlier in the morning when DIG Moulvibazar arrived at Circuit House, District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zakaria welcomed and then a smart team of District Police saluted the honorable DIG. After receiving the salute, he attended the civic reception.
