The incident took place on Saturday (July 13) at noon in Yusufpur area of ​​Debidwar upazila. The deceased Abdullah is the son of Aman Ullah of that village. The killer woman Liza Akhter is the second wife of Aman Ullah.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Debidwar police station Nayan Mia confirmed the matter. Quoting locals, the OC said that the father of the deceased child, Aman Ullah, works in a company in Meghna, Comilla. Three years ago, Abdullah’s own mother left Barisal in the hands of a foreign lover.
Later Abdullah’s father married another. After that marriage, the stepmother accepted Abdullah at first, but after another child was born in her lap, she began to see Abdullah differently. This was often a problem in the family.
At around 11 o’clock on Saturday, he came from the field and asked his stepmother for pain medicine and water. Later, when the stepmother brought water, Abdullah took the medicine and threw water on his younger brother (stepmother’s son). The stepmother was furious.
He got angry and wrapped the veil around the child Abdullah’s neck. Abdullah died on the spot. Later, when the locals informed the police, the police went to the spot and recovered the body and arrested the killer’s stepmother and brought her to the police station.
The OC also said that the body of the deceased has been sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The marks of twisting the veil around the child’s neck are obvious. The killer has been arrested. The process of the case is going on in this case.
