February 28, Tuesday: Deputy Minister of Water Resources and former organizing secretary of Awami League AKM Enamul Haque Shamim MP said that all leaders and workers should remember the glorious role of Chhatra League in all democratic movements of the country. The Chhatra League played an important role in building the Chhatra Sangam Parishad, building a nationwide movement on the historic 6 points, 11 points and above all in the liberation war of 1971. Therefore, Chhatra League should be developed as a popular organization. He said these things in the chief guest’s speech at Shariatpur Municipal Auditorium today in the reception ceremony of Dhaka Metropolitan South Chhatra League President Rajibul Islam Bappi and North Chhatra League President Riaz Mahmud. Shamim, the former president of Chhatra League, said that Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia handed over arms to students after the assassination of Bangabandhu on August 15, 1975, following the footsteps of Ayub. During their tenure, the country’s education system was brought to the brink of destruction. The nation’s universities became a clatter of arms. In the last 13 years, there is no clanging of arms, no drill of arms, no jam session in any educational institution. Handing over new books to the students on the first day of the year is a unique achievement of the government of leader Sheikh Hasina.
Anamul Haque Shamim said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to improve the quality of education from primary education to universities. He is officializing the secondary education institutions in every upazila town. He has set up Sheikh Russell Digital Lab in every educational institution. They are making new buildings in old educational institutions. He is giving special importance to the agricultural education and information technology of the country. That is why universities are being built in the district. Besides, he is honoring the teachers in various ways. Therefore, the people will bring Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina in the next election as well. Deputy Minister Shamim said that during the Corona period, BCL leaders delivered food to people’s homes, buried and cremated the bodies, delivered oxygen cylinders. Chhatra League is the best humanitarian student organization in the history of the world. So BCL has to continue that continuity. Bangabandhu’s daughter will play a leading role in building Smart Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The organization that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman built for the realization of the mother tongue, the organization that has contributed to the freedom struggle and liberation war of this country, the organization that is taking a leading role in establishing the democratic rights of this country and moving the country forward, is the name of Bangladesh Chhatra League. Therefore, every leader and activist of Chhatra League should work to bring people’s leader Sheikh Hasina to power in the next election with a clean image. Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain said that the ghosts of the defeated forces of 1971 and 1975 are still wandering in this independent Bangladesh. Even though the light of this country is growing in the air, they still love Pakistan. Those who try to provoke the country by arson will have to respond with broken teeth.

Chhatra League General Secretary Sheikh Inan said that the creation of Chhatra League was through challenges and struggles. All achievements of Chhatra League since its inception have overcome sky-high odds. Chhatra League is an organization created by the father of the nation. We students of the present generation are fortunate to have a head of government like Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Chhatra League will ensure the victory of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina by uniting with the students and the youth and raising the same voice in the coming election.
