Dinajpur District Chhatra Dal organized a day-long humanitarian food distribution program on Friday, May 30, 2025, on the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman. Cooked food was distributed to the helpless, poor and uprooted people at 22 important places in the district.
The program was officially inaugurated by Dinajpur District BNP Vice President and prominent industrialist Md. Hafizur Rahman Sarkar. The program was led by District Chhatra Dal Acting President Md. Rubel Islam and General Secretary Abuzar Setu. District Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary and Agriculturist Md. Naeem Adnan Kamal and Nur Islam Shuvo helped in the success of the program. More than fifty leaders and activists of Dinajpur Municipal Chhatra Dal, Kotwali Thana Chhatra Dal, and Government College Branch participated in the food distribution program. Food distribution activities were conducted in working class areas, pedestrian areas adjacent to railway stations and next to hawker markets. On average, food was distributed to more than 100 people at each location.
In his inaugural speech, Md. Hafizur Rahman Sarkar said that martyred President Ziaur Rahman was a leader of the people. This humanitarian initiative of Chhatra Dal on his martyrdom anniversary undoubtedly deserves praise.
Acting President of District Chhatra Dal Md. Rubel Islam said that Chhatra Dal is not just a political organization, it is an ideological platform to work for the welfare of the people. General Secretary Abuja Setu commented that Shaheed Zia’s ideals are our inspiration. This program is a means of expressing our deep respect for him. Such initiatives will continue in the future as well.
