A protest march was held to demand the trial of Sheikh Hasina, organized by the Nalkathi Upazila branch of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal in Nalkathi, Jhalkathi.
On Sunday (August 18) morning, a large procession led by the convener of Nalchiti Upazila Chhatra Dal Saidul Islam Roni and joint convener Adif Hasan started from Shaheed Minar area of ​​the city and inspected various roads.
Nalchiti Upazila BNP Student Affairs Secretary Abdullah Alifur Roni, Nalchiti Upazila Chhatra Dal Joint Convener Imran Hossain Hiru, Nalchiti Upazila Chhatra Dal Leader Shahadat Sikdar, Joint Convenor Farid Hossain Hira, Joint Convener Iqbal Ahmed Hriday, Zahidul Islam Hiron were also present.
At this time, the activists kept chanting slogans demanding the hanging of dictator Sheikh Hasina. More than five hundred leaders and activists of upazila and various union student groups participated in the procession.
In a short rally after the procession, they said that many mothers’ chests have become empty due to Sheikh Hasina’s orders in the anti-dictatorship movement. Although he escaped, many of his friends are hiding inside the country. We demand their immediate arrest and bring them under the law, at the same time we strongly demand that Hasina be brought back from abroad to face justice.
