RAB raided Mahananda Bridge Toll Plaza area of ​​Chapainawabganj district and arrested one person with 96 kg of ganja.
Last Sunday night, RAB conducted a raid in front of the toll plaza of Mahananda Bridge in Chapainawabganj District City and recovered the largest consignment of drugs in the area in the past year. The arrested person is Faisal Mamun (38), son of Salim of Mier Bari area of ​​Noakhali district, the master of the drug gang, who has several drug cases against him.
According to RAB press release sources, a team of RAB-5 under the leadership of Company Commander Lt. Commander Ruh-fi-Tahmin Taukir and Company Deputy Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam seized a covered van at Mahananda Bridge Plaza on Sunday night. After that, the RAB members searched the covered van and recovered 96 kg of ganja. Faisal Mamun was arrested for his involvement with drug dealers. A case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act at Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station.
RAB official company captain Lt. Commander Ruh-fi-Tahmin Taukir told the district representative of daily Sakalbela newspaper that 96 kg of ganja was recovered along with the covered van. The arrested person told this during initial interrogation that he had been buying ganja for a long time and selling it to dealers and retail drug dealers in different parts of the country.
