The election rally of Awami League’s nominated candidate Abu Jafar Mohammad Shafiuddin (Shamim) in Comilla 08 Barura was attended by the leaders of the Bangladesh Chatra League Central Committee.
Comilla 8 Barura Constituency Awami League nominee Abu Jafar Mohammad Shafiuddin Shamim was the chief guest at the event organized by the Barura Upazila Awami League organ and affiliates on Monday night at Barura Haji Nawab Ali Pilot High School ground, Bangladesh Chatra League Central Committee President Saddam Hossain was the chief guest, General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan spoke as the main speaker, Mazharul Kabir Shayan, President of Dhaka University Branch Chatra League was present as a special guest.
Abu Yunus, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Chatra League Central Committee and Barura’s son, spoke as a special speaker. Former Barura Municipal Chatra League convenor Golam Farooq Rubel was also present along with former Barura Municipal Mayor Bahaduruzzaman, SQ Foundation member secretary Md. Tofail Hossain, leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League Central Executive Committee and leaders of Comilla South District Chatra League. Also present were Barura Upazila Chatra League leader GM Zahidul Islam, Riazul Islam, Shafayet Hossain Bablu, Barura Municipality Chhatra League leader Ashraful Khandkar, Tajul Islam Rimon, Khoshbas North Union Chatra League president Riyad Hossain.
Convener of Shilmuri North Union Chatra League Tanveer Miyaji, Bhabanipur Union Chatra League President Zahirul Islam Pintu, Lakshipur Union Chatra League President Abdur Razzak Raj, along with municipal and union Chatra League leaders also spoke. All the Central Chatra League leaders said that Bangabandhu’s daughter Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the task to Abu Jafar Mohammad Shafiuddin Shamim as the nominated candidate of Bangladesh Awami League to build Smart Bangladesh in Comilla 8 Barura Constituency to build Smart Barura Upazila. With the aim of medical and economic development, Smart Barura can be developed, so on January 7, Barura upazila will be the first smart upazila of Bangladesh to make it the first smart upazila of Bangladesh.
The leaders of the Central Chatra League also said that we have known Barura upazila for a long time. The guest also said that Shafiuddin Shamim has arranged everything from food items to free oxygen cylinders in the only Barura upazila of Bangladesh which has been appreciated all over the country. Therefore, on January 7, by voting on the boat symbol, Shafiuddin urged Shamim Bhai to work to gift the Comilla 08 seat to Sheikh Hasina.
Prior to the event, thousands of BCL workers from 15 unions and different areas of the upazila turned the school ground into a public meeting on the occasion of the arrival of the central BCL leaders.
