Barakal (Rangamati) Correspondent: Upazila Election Office sources have confirmed that by-elections are going to be held for the first time on March 16 in Barakal upazila of Rangamati for the vacant post in Barakal Union No. 3 General Ward by EVM system.
According to the sources, on January 24 of last month, Rangamati District Election Office issued notification of by-election-2023 schedule for vacancies in general ward No. 3 of Barkal Union in Rangamati hill district according to Rule 10 of Local Government (Union Parishad) Election Rules, 2010.
Meanwhile, the Barkal Upazila Election Office issued a notice to submit nomination papers to the Returning Officer by February 19 this month.
