The court sentenced four people to death in the murder case of Farooq Ahmed, a cloth merchant of Companyganj Bazar in Muradnagar, Comilla.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Fifth Court Judge Farida Yasmin gave the verdict on Thursday (July 11) afternoon.
The convicts are the son of Mizanur Rahman of North Trish area of ​​Muradnagar upazila of Comilla. Rafiq Mia, son of Yunus Mia of Madhavpur area of ​​Debidwar upazila. Nazmul Shikder, son of Bhinlabari area Chan Mia. Son of Mannan Mia and Raju Mia. Suman Mia.

The government expert of the case PP. Rafiqul Islam said that businessman Farooq Ahmed went missing on December 2, 2013. In this incident, his father Mustafa made a general diary (GD) at the police station. Later on December 7, the police recovered the body from a local sand field. Later, the police investigation revealed that cousin Rafiqul Islam borrowed about three lakhs from him. Rafiq was not returning the money even after the specified time.
At one point, Rafiq’s sister-in-law Mannan got angry when he asked for money in front of Mia. Mannan and Rafiq plan and inform another sister-in-law Suman. Later they hired the well-known Nazmul Shikdar of Devidwar upazila.
Then he called Faruk saying that he will return the money. At one point, he was killed by slitting his throat in a local field and his body was buried in the sand. Five days after the incident, the dead body was identified by the family of the victim. In this incident, Rafiq’s sister-in-law admitted the responsibility of the incident by giving a statement under Section 164 and informed about the planned murder.
After a long hearing in this case, Comilla Additional District and Sessions Judge Fifth Court Judge Farida Yasmin gave the verdict.
