Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar said about the positive work of Bangladesh Police Women Welfare Association (BPWWA), the police are doing police work. And beyond this, the way BPWWA is working with humanitarian and social responsibility is at the root of women. Even established big women’s organizations could not do the work you are doing. You have many extraordinary qualities. Whatever people think about the police; if they see the work of BPWWA, that idea will change.

The advisor said these things in his speech as the chief guest at BPWWA’s annual rally and Ananda Mela-2025 program at Rajarbagh Police Lines on the occasion of Police Week 2025 today at noon.

Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar said that there is no opportunity to go outside the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock before and after sleeping. He said, ‘What is eaten at the dining table when you wake up in the morning or what is eaten at night when you sleep. There is no opportunity to go outside my ministry. You should understand that fish, meat, milk, eggs, everything is the main ingredient of nutrition.’

Under the chairmanship of Punak President Afroza Helen, the special envoy of the Chief Advisor Lutfe Siddiqui, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, and former president of Punak’s central committee Faizun Nesa Begum spoke as special guests. In addition, Punak’s executive members and Punak’s district presidents and members from different districts were present at the time.

The chief guest presented awards to the children of Punak family members for their achievements in various fields including scholarship, Quran recitation, music, painting, dance, recitation, and computer. Later, Punak artists performed a delightful cultural program.
