Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) said, our borders are completely safe and secure. There is no lack of security at the borders. Our people and borders are completely safe.

The advisor said these things while briefing reporters after the closing parade of the 14th batch of Deputy District and 62nd batch of Prison Guards and Women Prison Guards Basic Training Course 2025 at Rajshahi Prison Training Center this afternoon.

The advisor said, we have protested against the increase in the number of push-ins at the border. India has been asked to send the Bangladeshis who are living in India illegally through appropriate channels. He said, just as we send back citizens of different countries including India who are living in our country illegally, we are ready to take back our citizens through that process. We have had discussions at various levels in this regard. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also in touch in this regard.

When asked about the security preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, the advisor said that just as the last Eid-ul-Fitr was held in a safe and peaceful environment, the law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take necessary steps to ensure that the law and order situation is better in the upcoming Eid. Stating that the prices of commodities are at a tolerable level, he said that the production of paddy has increased by about 1.5 million tons. The price of potatoes is also low. He further said that in some cases, farmers may not be getting fair price. However, if everyone concerned cooperates and encourages the farmers, then the farmers will get fair price.

Inspector General of Prisons Brigadier General Syed Md. Motaher Hossain and RMP Police Commissioner Abu Sufian along with senior officials of the law enforcement agencies were present at the time.
