Bogura in Two Sisters-in-Law Arrested with 1,500 Yaba Tablets

Bogura Correspondent: The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has arrested two women, who are sisters-in-law (beyain), while smuggling Yaba tablets inside a vanity bag in Bogura.They were arrested on Monday (June 8) afternoon from the Chokyadu Cross Lane area of Bogura city.Zillur Rahman, Deputy Director of DNC Bogura, confirmed the matter through a press release on Tuesday noon.The arrestees have been identified as: Bulbuli Begum (45), wife of the late Azizur Rahman, from the Dakshin Basudevpur Camp Potty area of Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur district. Najma Begum (38), wife of Liton Miah and daughter of the late Dudu Mollah, from the Choksutrapur Kasaipara area of Bogura city.

They are mutually related as sisters-in-law (beyain). How they were caught: > Acting on a tip-off, a DNC team took position in front of the BRTC Market at Chokyadu Cross Lane in the city.
They detained the two suspicious women on the spot. Upon searching their vanity bags, 1,500 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered. Additionally, BDT 10,000 in drug-sale proceeds, along with a button phone containing a SIM card, were seized.Zillur Rahman further informed that during primary interrogation, Bulbuli Begum admitted she had come to buy the Yaba from her sister-in-law, Najma Begum. DNC officials caught them red-handed during the handover of the drug consignment.A case has been filed against them at Bogura Sadar Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
