A section of Joypurhat district BNP has marched to demand 10-point demand: increase in daily necessities, release of all jailed leaders and activists including BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, restoration of democracy including elections under a non-partisan and impartial caretaker government On Saturday (February 25) at 12:30 pm, the march left the town’s Chinikal Road and ended at the party office. Later a rally was held there. Former district BNP president Mumtaz Uddin Mondal spoke in the chair, former member of parliament of Jaipurhat-2 constituency and BNP national executive committee member Engineer Golam Mostafa, district BNP joint convener Abdul Wahab, district Jubo Dal joint convener Shariful Islam, district Sramik Dal general secretary Shafikul. Islam, District Chhatra Dal Acting General Secretary Raisul Islam Ripon and others. The speakers said, from this march we will bring down the dictatorial government. We are campaigning for the release of Khaleda Zia, increase in the prices of daily necessities. This movement of BNP is the movement to restore democracy, the release of Khaleda Zia and the movement to reduce the price of daily commodities. We all have to unite and speed up this movement.
