On Amar Ekushe and International Mother Language Day, Indian citizen and director of Bhola new power station Alok Chatterjee paid tribute to the memory of language martyrs at Shahid Minar, Borhanuddin Upzilla Center, Bhola.  The Indian citizen’s respect for the Bengali language created a lot of mixed reactions among the crowd present. All present welcomed his show of respect. Alok Chatterjee said, Bengalis seem to be the only people in the world who have established their own mother tongue with fresh blood from their chest. He further said that Ekushe February taught Bengalis the mantra of self-sacrifice, made Bengalis great. The spirit of freedom came through the language movement. Zulfikar Ali, the leader of the Upazila Freedom Fighters Command, said that when a foreigner shows respect for our mother tongue, the chest is filled with pride. At that time, Upazila Chairman Abul Kalam, Upazila Executive Officer Naureen Haque, Vice Chairman Russell Ahmed Mia and other officials of various departments were present.
