Three days after disappearance, child’s body was recovered from Pukur

Brahmanbaria Nasirnagar after three days of disappearance from the pond. Police recovered the body of a child student named Roni Mia (6). The body was recovered around noon on Thursday. The deceased is the son of Rahim Uddin of Kulikunda village of Sadar Union of Roni Upazila. He is a first class student of Kulikunda South Government Primary School.
According to local sources, on the 28th of last month, Roni left home saying that he was going to Orse in Datmandal village of the same union. As he did not return home at night, the family members micked him. Despite that, the child’s family filed a missing diary at Nasirnagar police station as the child was not found. Since then Roni was missing. Three days later, the body of the deceased was found in a pond near the house of the deceased.
Meanwhile, when the family members brought up the involvement of two teenagers of the same village in the murder, the police arrested the two teenagers after conducting a raid. Later, they confessed to the murder during interrogation. The arrested are Rifat Mia (13) son of Shah Alam of Kulikunda village and Liton (17) son of Abul Hossain.
Officer-in-charge of Nasirnagar Police Station. Habibullah Sarkar told Samakal that the child went missing after going to Ors. His body was recovered from the pond this afternoon. Later, following the demands of the family, two people were arrested. They confessed to the murder during interrogation.
