Pay land development tax online, keep land clear.” Keeping this theme in mind, a week-long special campaign has been started to collect land development tax online organized by Ishwarganj Upazila Revenue Administration of Mymensingh. On the first day of the week-long campaign, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hafiza Jasmin officially inaugurated it with a colorful procession.
On the morning of March 6 (Monday), the procession left the Upazila Parishad premises under the banner of the Upazila Revenue Administration, circled the Mymensingh-Kishorganj regional highway and came back to the Upazila Parishad premises. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahbubur Rahman, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer ASM Sanwar Russell, Women Affairs Officer Fatematu Zahura, Land Office Nazir Mohammad Ataul Karim Salim, Sarisha and Jatia Union Land Office Naib Rehena Yasmin along with Upazila and Union Lands were present in the procession. Office and various departments of the upazila.
According to upazila land office sources, a week-long special campaign has been launched with the aim of easily collecting land development tax online. A special week-long campaign has been organized to encourage customers to pay taxes in all land offices. It will have one service booth in all union land offices. All kinds of assistance will be provided from this booth for easy collection of land development tax by citizens.
In this regard, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahbubur Rahman said that at the end of the campaign, 10 highest tax payers will be awarded in each union. For this reason, he urged everyone to contact the service booth of their union land office with the documents required for the campaign. He also said that the upazila and all union land offices are ready to provide any land related services to the customers. Even then, appropriate legal action will be taken against those who do not pay land development tax.
