Abdul Quddus Sarkar (62), former UP Chairman of Tarash Upazila of Sirajganj, was shot dead by miscreants. The incident took place at Bhogalman Char Matha area of Desigram Union at around 6:30 pm on Saturday.Abdul Sarkar, former UP chairman of Desigram Union and former president of Union Awami League, was killed. In this incident, there is a lot of tension in the area. According to local sources, Abdul Quddus Sarkar was sitting in his fertilizer and pesticide shop in Bhogalman Charmatha Bazar at around 6:30 p.m. At that time, a group of 10-15 people entered the shop with weapons and shot at him and the miscreants fled. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarash police station Shahidul Islam confirmed the news and said that he reached the spot after receiving the news. The matter will be investigated vigorously.
