Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the good law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations to arrest militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers and fugitive accused in various cases including murder, kidnapping. RAB has already been able to gain the public’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities. In continuation of this yesterday, on March 20, 2023 AD, a raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Baghair Aliyapar area under Dakshin Keraniganj police station of Dhaka district and arrested the absconding accused Nizam Uddin Miah, father-deceased Hafiz Uddin Miah, who was sentenced to 05 years in the forgery case. Paschimdi, Thana- Dakshin Keraniganj, District- Dhaka arrested. During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused admitted his involvement in the said incident. It is known that he had fled to different parts of the country for some time to save himself from the law. The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
