Preparation meeting to observe Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day on 21st February was held in Barura, Comilla. On Thursday, February 16, at 11 am, a preparation meeting was held by the Barura upazila administration in the upazila parishad auditorium under the chairmanship of the acting upazila executive officer Md. Mehedi Hasan. Upazila Parishad Chairman ANM Mainul Islam was the chief guest, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Nazrul Islam, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr Nasreen Sultana Tanu, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Saiful Islam, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Afroza Begum, Upazila Engineer Rahat Amin were present. Patwari, Upazila Education Officer Acting Md Soleman Bhuiyan, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md Rashedul Alam, President of Upazila Press Club and Daily Zayzaidin Representative Md Masud Majumdar, Vice President and Daily Rupsi Bangla Representative Journalist Md Jahangir Alam, General Editor and Daily Manav Zamin, Title Its representative journalist Md. Ikramul Haque, publicity editor and representative journalist of Daily Navachetna Dainik Samajkanth Patrika Md. Sharif Uddin, former president of Upazila Press Club and representative of Daily News Salil Ranjan Biswas spoke on the occasion. At the meeting, administration officials, journalists and civil society leaders took advice and decisions to celebrate the great 21st February Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day with due dignity.
