Illegal extraction of fertile soil in Chapainawabganj Shibganj. Late night mobile court has been conducted.
Tuesday (14 March 2023) at 1.30 pm. This mobile court was conducted at Baglauri Ghat in Panka Union of Shibganj Upazila.
Chapainawabganj Shibganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate, Zubair Hossain conducted the mobile court. At this time, Shibganj police force cooperated in the operation of the mobile court.
Shibganj Assistant Commissioner (Land) Executive Magistrate, Zubair Hossain said over the phone that they were illegally excavating fertile crop land. All those involved ran away on hearing the news at the moment of the operation of the mobile court. Nothing was seized as these illegal excavators and tractors could not be taken into custody late at night.
The commissioner said, if illegal extraction of fertile cropland is done without permission, legal action will be taken against the land owners concerned. Legal action will be taken against them if they try to lift the soil later. Regular operation to stop lifting will continue. He said that the mobile court campaign will continue in public interest.
