 The young man who was abducted on the Eidgaon-Eidgarh road in Cox’s Bazar hill town has returned to his family in exchange for ransom. Eidgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Golam Kabir said that hours after the abduction, the kidnapped youth returned to his family in exchange for a ransom of Tk 20,000. Ruhul Amin, son of Fayez Ahmed, a resident of Ward No. 3 Khandkar Para area of Eidgarh Union of Ramu Upazila, was abducted by an organized abduction gang as soon as he reached Himchari Dhalla on the Eidgaon-Eidgarh road from Eidgaon on his way to Eidgarh on a motorcycle. After that, the passengers of another car following him saw the motorcycle lying in the forest area on the road and confirmed that someone had been abducted. When this news spread quickly through social media, the administration continued the operation to rescue him with the help of the people and the surrounding hill forest. Meanwhile, robberies and kidnappings on the road had stopped for a long time. In this regard, the people traveling through the said road have demanded to the Deputy Commissioner to set up a permanent police outpost in that area.
