Journalist Sangsad Cox’s Bazar has organized various programs on the occasion of Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day. The leaders of the organization paid tribute to the language martyrs by placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar on Tuesday (February 21st). In the afternoon, a discussion meeting was held in memory of the martyrs. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Journalist Sangsad Cox’s Bazar President MA Aziz Russell and General Secretary Balram Das Anupam spoke at the meeting held by Vice President Mohammad Aman Ullah, Joint General Secretary Shahidul Karim Shahid, Organizing Secretary Jahangir Alam Shams and Zikir Ullah Ziku. At the beginning of the meeting, sports editor Aminul Kabir recited the Quran. The speakers said in the meeting that on February 21, 1952, the Bengali nation woke up through a spontaneous movement to protect the Bengali language. After that, the six-point movement and other demands were successful. We got independent Bangladesh through armed liberation war in 1971. Blood has been spilled for the national status of the only Bengali language in the world. Therefore, the use of Bengali language must be ensured in all cases. Among others, members of the organization Abdur Rashid Manik, Ashraf Bin Yusup, Sadek Hossain Khoka, Sahedul Islam Mubin, Mohammad Alamgir and many others were present in the program.
