Human chain in Khulna demanding payment of dues of private jute mill workers

The workers of Khulna privately owned Mohsen, Afil, Sonali, Jute Spinners, Ajax and all the closed private jute mills, including PF, gratuity and final dues of the workers, have held a human chain program. On Wednesday from 11 am to 12 pm in front of the workers colony of Ajax Jute Mill, the initiative of private jute, yarn, textile mill workers federation held this human chain program. Federation President Sheikh Amjad Hossain presided over the rally held at that time. In this, the labor leaders said, for years, the workers of closed jute mills including Mohsen, Afil, Sonali, Jute Spinners, Ajax, etc. are owed PF and gratuity money along with wages. They demanded immediate payment of dues to the workers. Labor leader Golam Rasul Khan, the general secretary of the organization and the former general secretary of Mohsen Jute Mill Walkers Union, spoke during the program under the leadership of Babul Hossain, the organizing secretary of the federation. Saiful Islam, Ajax Jute Mill labor leader Wahid Murad, brave freedom fighter Azhar Matbar, Saifullah Tarek, brave freedom fighter Ighil Kazi, Qari Ashab Uddin etc. Giving a memorandum to Narayan Chandra Chand, Member of Parliament of Khulna-5 Constituency at 10 am on March 18 to collect the outstanding dues in the human chain program, hunger strike in front of Khulna District Commissioner’s office on March 20 at 10 am and announcing a blockade program on Khulna-Jeshore highway from 10 am on March 22 at Phulbarigate of the city is done.
