Sources also said that for the special allocation of the hospital, the hospital authority and the contractor conspired to send several times the demand for more profitable products. According to sources, line director Mazharul Haque Tapan was heard saying that Tk 60 to 65 crores of bribe had to be paid to the Secretary General of the Department of Health, the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Health. Sources also said that Health Minister’s former PS Arifur Rahman is involved in this cycle.
