Great Independence and National Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj with due dignity by the initiative of the district administration.
On Sunday (March 26, 2023) in the first hour of the day, 31 times the national flag will be fired at sunrise. Deputy Commissioner AKM Ghaliv Khan paid tribute by offering flowers at the martyr’s memorial along with all the officials in the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner. After that Harimohan accompanied the freedom fighters and paid floral tributes to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu located at the south-east corner of Government High School (DC). Later he offered wreaths to the portrait of Bangabandhu located in front of the main gate of Circuit House.
As part of the program, the Deputy Commissioner participated in the Independence Day parade organized by the Chapainawabganj district administration at 8 am. He inaugurated the event by hoisting the national flag and playing the national anthem. After that, he started the parade by flying balloons symbolizing freedom and dove symbolizing peace. Chapainawabganj District Superintendent of Police, AHM Abdur Rakib, BPM, PPM(Bar), all officers of the district administration, brave freedom fighters, officials of all government offices of the district, teachers and students of schools and colleges and journalists of print and electronic media were present in the parade.
