Comilla’s Barura Shilmuri Union Parishad election, Awami League’s nominated chairman candidate Haji Md Farooq Hossain withdrew from the election by supporting independent chairman candidate Delwar Hossain. On Saturday at 4 pm, through an election yard meeting in Lagnasar Bazar of Silmuri D. Union of Barura Upazila, based on the opinions of the leading and general voters of the union Awami League and Ward Awami League, the nominated chairman candidate of Bangladesh Awami League, Haji Md Farooq Hossain Bhuina, stood from the election by formally supporting him. Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Golam Sarwar, Barura Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md Nashir Uddin Lincoln, Vice President and Upazila Vice Chairman Md Kamal Hossain, Barura Municipality Mayor and Municipal Awami League General Secretary Md Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, Upazila Awami League Leader Md Aktaruzzaman Babu, Shilmuri D. Union Awami League President Noore Alam Siddiqui Swapan, Organizing Secretary Md. Shahjahan, Comilla D. District Awami Volunteers League Agricultural Affairs Secretary Md. Shahjahan, Union Awami Jubo League Leader Shimul Shikder, Awami League Leader Syed Md. Mizanur Rahman, Rota: Soleman Majumder along with the union. Leaders of Awami League’s organs and affiliated organizations were present.
