On the occasion of the historic 7th March 2023 celebration in Barura, Comilla, a colorful rally and discussion meeting was held at the initiative of the upazila administration. On Tuesday (March 7) at 9:00 a.m., floral hymns were offered at Barura Upazila Bangabandhu Mural to pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the historic day. The colorful rally from the Upazila Parishad campus circled the various roads of the city and ended at the Upazila Parishad campus. Upazila Parishad Chairman ANM Mainul Islam was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting chaired by Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mehdi Hasan at 10 am in the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Under the direction of Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Saiful Islam, Barura Municipality Mayor Md Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar, Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Kamrun Nahar Shikha, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Kamrul Hasan Sohel, Barura Thana Novice Officer-in-Charge Md Firoz Hossain spoke as special guests. , brave freedom fighter Md Abul Bashar, brave freedom fighter Md Abdul Mannan, brave freedom fighter Abdus Sattar. Barura Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Afroza Begum, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md.
