This is the first time that the Agricultural Loan Fair is being held in Jhalkathi with the aim of making it easier for farmers and entrepreneurs to get loans. On the occasion of the fair, a massive rally was taken out from the District Commissioner’s office at Chattar on Wednesday, February 15 at 10 am. Later, Deputy Commissioner Farah Gul Nijhum inaugurated the fair at the premises of the local art academy. Farmers and entrepreneurs from different parts of the district have come to take loans in this unique fair. Besides, people from different professions are also present to see this fair. 20 scheduled banks have opened their booths in 10 stalls at the fair. Farmers and entrepreneurs can easily go to that booth and take loans without any hassle. The organizers said that in the light of the Prime Minister’s entrepreneur and farmer-friendly instructions, all scheduled banks have low interest loans, but many young entrepreneurs and farmers are not aware of this. As a result, they are deprived of the opportunity to take this loan due to lack of proper information and necessary documents. They have organized this fair with the aim of making it easier for farmers and entrepreneurs to get loans. After the opening of the fair, Deputy Commissioner Farah Gul Nijhum, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Afruzul Haque Tutul, Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir and the organizing bank officials spoke at the discussion meeting held at the premises of the local art academy. This fair starts from 10 am and will continue till 5 pm. Jhalkathi district administration organized this fair with the help of all the scheduled banks of the district.
