A long-standing land dispute in Tangail has resulted in a terrorist attack. The incident took place on the morning of March 19 in Santosh Bagbari area of Tangail town. Son of Keramat Ali. Jaher Mia (45), Md. Son of Alok Mia. Johnny Mia (25), son of Jaher Mia. Anik Mia (22). In addition, a complaint has been filed in the name of 4/5 anonymous people. According to the complaint, on the morning of March 19, the mentioned defendants of Santosh Bagbari area came to illegally build a house in the boundary of the plaintiff’s house with domestic weapons, chapati, ramda, iron rod, sable, bamboo stick, hammer. Sharif, Masood Mia, Shireen Akhtar, Rozina Akhtar, Rubel Mia and Sarvanu were attacked by the defendants when they blocked the construction of the house. During the attack, Ujjal Mia, on the orders of Milan Mia, gives Ramda a rampage with the intention of killing Sharif. When Masud came forward to save Sharif, Jaher Mia broke his right leg with a knife. Suman Mia stole gold weighing 16 annas when Milan Shirin fell on the ground in a bloody state after hitting her on the head with a chapati in her hand. Jalal Mia and Anik Mia enter the house and break Saravanu’s arm with an iron rod. Johnny Mia breaks Rosina’s leg with a shovel. All the defendants also beat up Rubel Mia severely. At that time, when the people around came forward on the victim’s call, the defendants threatened to kill them and left. In this situation, the family members of the victims of the attack are passing their days in fear and insecurity. In this regard, Masud Mia, the victim of the attack, said that the defendants attacked my family members in a well-planned manner. The dispute over land is long-standing. On the day of the incident, the opponent attacked his family members with native weapons and inflicted bloody injuries on them for protesting the injustice. After the attack, they were supposed to sit at the Tangail Sadar police station, but because the defendants did not respect the law, they did not appear on time and left the arbitration meeting unfinished. Later, the attackers continue to threaten. The victim’s family is not getting any remedy despite filing a complaint at the police station. In this regard, the investigation officer of the case.
