Bijayanagar in residents form human chain protest against killing of fish by poisoning open water bodies

Bijayanagar (Brahmanbaria) Correspondent:   Brahmanbaria  Bijayanagar in the local residents staged a human chain and protested against the killing of fish and damage to nature due to the use of poison by the lessee in the open reservoir.
The people of some local villages organized this human chain and protest at Paharpur of the upazila on Thursday, October 3 at 4 pm.
Human bonds and protestors said that poisoning has spread to the surrounding villages due to the killing of fish by the lessee in the Meghna and Chhaira to Kaira bill located in the north-west part of Paharpur in the upazila. Eating fish is becoming hazardous to health due to the floating of dead fish. Moreover, animals, birds and fossils are being damaged. In this way, they strongly demanded to stop killing fish with poison every year.
The human chain and protests were led by,
Qazbi Abdul Momin, Qazbi Fazlul Haq, Maulana Musa Al Habib, Haji Abu Saeed Keshiar, Chan Mia, Abdul Momin, Abdul Malek, Abdul Hannan, Kamrul, Islam Master, Dulal Mia, Siddiqur Rahman, Hazrat Ali, Ismail Hussain, Raihan U Naeem, Hundreds of villagers including Monir Hussain, Saiful Chowdhury, Maulana Kamal, Maulana Kazbi Ziaur Rahman Siraj Khadem, Maulana Abdullah, Maram Ali, Masuk Mia, Farid Ali, Helal Uddin, Abdus Salam, Ujjal Mia, Gaziur Rahman.
Bijayanagar upazila executive officer said that no tenant can kill fish by using poison. I will investigate the matter and take necessary measures
