Pahela Baishakh is Bengali New Year. We welcome Bengali New Year with all the warmth of our hearts. We are very fortunate to have a tradition of celebrating New Year in Bangladesh. Many nations do not have a specific day called New Year. They are deprived of the opportunity to celebrate the new year. Bengalis have a new year, have their own Bengali calendar. In continuation, Bengali New Year 1430 was celebrated in Goaland of Rajbari.
On Friday, April 14, at 10 am, a rally was organized by the upazila administration in Upazila Chattar from Court Chattar to the end of Dhaka Khulna highway circuit.
Cultural programs and discussion meetings have been organized through the National Anthem. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zakir Hossain, the teacher of Dudukhanpara Primary School, Nasreen Akhtar, attended the program. Female Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Nagirs Parveen, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Md. Ashrafur Rahman, Principal of Government Kamrul Islam College. Halim Talukder, Principal of Rabeya Women’s College. Quader, Goland Ghat police station officer in-charge Swapan Kumar Majumdar, Ujanchar UP chairman Golzar Hossain Mridha, Daulatdia UP chairman Abdul Rahman Mondal and head teachers of various educational institutions were present.
