Barura Thana police recovered the body of a youth named Sohag (22) on the side of the road in Nishintpur village of Barura Municipal area of Comilla.
Barura Police Station SI Nazrul Islam recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
According to police sources, local people saw the body on the side of the road in the morning and informed Barura police. On receiving the information, Barura police station officer-in-charge Md. Riaz Uddin Chowdhury went to the spot with a group of policemen and recovered the unidentified body. Meanwhile, when the news spread on social media, Sohag’s mother Tahera Begum came to the scene and confirmed that Sohag is her son. He is the son of deceased Morshed Mia of Ilashpur village, Khoshbas union, Barura upazila.
Sohag’s hands and feet were covered with electricity. There is a little burn on the hand. There are also various electrical appliances. It is not known how he died, or who or who killed him and left his body here.
Sohag’s mother Tahera Begum said that he used to do various seasonal jobs including Rajyogali. Yesterday he took one hundred rupees from me and left the house. Did not go home at night. Now I have found his body.
Md. Riaz Uddin Chowdhury, the officer in charge of Barura Police Station said, “We have recovered the body, a case of death is being registered, the autopsy report will reveal the mystery of his death.” Necessary action will be taken based on the report.
