 Bangabandhu and Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament was held at Upazila Court Square on Monday 31st July at 4 pm in Goaland. Four teams, women’s and men’s, compete in the finals. In the final game, the women’s team Jalil Sardar’s neighborhood and the men’s team Barasinga Government Primary School became champions. Goland Upazila Executive Officer Mr. Zakir Hossain distributed the prizes between the two champion teams, Mr. Azizul Islam, Asaduzzaman Khan, Assistant Education Officer Goland Upazila, Babar Ali, President Primary Teachers Association Goland Upazila, Md Mominul Islam General Secretary, were also present. Goland Upazila Head Teacher Association, Rafiqul Islam and Nasreen Akhter Iti were the commentators. Both games were managed by Mahfuzur Rahman Milan, and Zafar Iqbal. Prizes are distributed among the accomplished footballers in the game. Both the teams will compete at district level in future.
