“National Vitamin-A Plus Campaign” was inaugurated at Barura, Comilla.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhoomi Md. Moin Uddin inaugurated the program at Paur Balika Government Primary School on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 am. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohel and overall management, Barura Upazila Health Complex Officer Dr. Tanjim Majumdar, Medical Officer (Disease Control), Health Assistant Nepal Chandra Bhowmik, Assistant Health Inspector Md. Moslem were also present this time. Uddin, Health Assistant Tabarak Hossain, Health Assistant Nachima Akhter, Barura Press Club General Secretary Ilyach Ahmad, Barura Upazila Press Club Vice President Md Jahangir Alam, General Secretary Journalist Md Ikramul Haque, Office Secretary Md Omar Farooq, Publicity Secretary Md Sharif Uddin, Barura Municipal Girls Government Primary School teachers and other dignitaries were present.
This time, 11,100 to 11 months and 67,000 children from 1 to 5 years of age, a total of 78,100 children, will be given vitamin A capsules at 410 EPI vaccination centers and 1 permanent centers at the same time, said Upazila Health Family Planning Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohail.
