28 weapons and 667 rounds looted by the police in Cumilla are recovered 28 weapons and 667 rounds looted from different police stations are being recovered by Ansar VDP Cumilla Commandant Rasheduzzaman. He said that by conducting awareness activities in different areas, these recovered weapons will be submitted to the Cumilla Police Lines in the presence of the army.

According to Ansar district office sources, weapons were looted from various police stations and Cumilla Police Lines in Cumilla on the 5th. Later, according to government instructions, Ansar VDP members started working to recover these weapons. 28 firearms, 667 rounds, 11 empty magazines, handcuffs and keys were recovered under the supervision of Cumilla District Office.

The District Commandant also said that these arms and ammunition were recovered by conducting raids on our basis in the abandoned condition – in the drains, by searching in the forests and by informing the people on the microphone of the mosque in the area. This operation will continue with maintaining law and order.

Ansar VDP Cumilla Range Director Ashish Kumar Bhattacharya said that not only in Cumilla, but also in Noakhali, Brahmanbaria and Chandpur, Ansar VDP members are trying to recover stolen weapons from different police stations, police station guarding and trafficking.
