 Amtali (Barguna) Correspondent : An awareness meeting was held at Chawra Baithakata Government Primary School on Thursday at 11 am for the smooth implementation of “Ma Hilsa Conservation Campaign 2024” under the Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project in Amtali, Barguna. Amtali upazila executive officer. Under the chairmanship of Ashraful Alem, the Chief Guest was the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Fisheries Nriprindranath Biswas. Barguna District Fisheries Officer was the special guest. Mohsin, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Tarek Hasan, Chawra UP Chairman Md. Akhtaruzzaman Badal Khan and others. In the meeting, with the help of Upazila Tuxfort Committee, assistance was provided with VGF rice as an alternative employment to the unemployed hilsa fishermen during the mother hilsa preservation period. Ma asked the fishermen not to fish in the river during the hilsa conservation period. Amtali Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Tanmoy Kumar Das held an awareness meeting at the awareness meeting along with Ilish fishermen and dignitaries.
