The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a surprise raid at Rajbari Sadar Hospital based on allegations of various irregularities. At that time, 10 out of 32 doctors were not present at the hospital. In addition, the ACC found evidence of various mismanagement, including irregularities in the supply of food at the hospital.
On Thursday (May 15), a surprise raid was conducted at around 11:30 am under the leadership of Sardar Abul Basar, Assistant Director of the ACC Faridpur Integrated District Office.
Assistant Director Sardar Abul Basar said, “We conducted a raid at Rajbari Sadar Hospital. During the raid, we found evidence of not providing adequate food. In addition, although 32 doctors were supposed to be present at the hospital according to the attendance register, we found 17. The hospital authorities said that four doctors have been transferred. In addition, one doctor is on leave. Even then, 27 doctors were supposed to be present. But we found 17 people. All 10 are absent.’
The assistant director further said, ‘According to the diet chart, 22 kg 200 grams of chicken meat was supposed to be provided to 81 patients in this hospital today, but we received 15 kg 200 grams of meat by weighing. That is, 7 kg of meat was received less.’
Sardar Abul Basar said, ‘Every patient admitted to the hospital is supposed to be given 350 grams of milk twice a day, 700 grams. But after talking to the ward master, we came to know that milk has never been given to patients in this hospital. Although mutton is supposed to be given to patients one day a week (Friday), it is not given. We will inform the commission to take further legal action in this regard.
