According to the office order, BCS (Information-General) cadre officer Abul Kalam Mohammad Shamsuddin working on deputation as Director of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) has been given the routine duties of Director General of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) as an additional responsibility to his current duties.
Abul Kalam Mohammad Shamsuddin, who has been appointed as Director General, has previously served as Director of Film and Publication Directorate, Director of Bangladesh Film Archive, Deputy Director (Technical) of Directorate of Mass Communication. Besides, he served as the editor of Prakashana Sachitra Bangladesh of Directorate of Films and Publications, serving as senior information officer in Dinajpur, Chittagong, Tangail, Jamalpur and Patuakhali. In his career, he started his career as a script writer in the Directorate of Films and Publications in January 1999. He is experienced in film production, publishing and newspaper law. Two of his major books have been published on Media Support Law, Policy and Rules and Law of Everyday Life.
