A training workshop on land management was held at Paba in Rajshahi. A day-long training workshop on land management was organized by the Upazila Land Office in collaboration with the Land Reform Board at the Upazila Parishad hall on Monday.
Shashank Shekhar Bhowmik, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, spoke as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sarbik Kalyan Chowdhury was the special guest under the chairmanship of Paba Upazila Nirbahi Officer Lasmi Chakma. PABA Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abhijit Sarkar conducted the training workshop as a special guest, Godagari Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sabuj Hasan, Tanor Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abida Sifat.
The speakers said that upazila land officials are working towards the implementation of cashless land office. Service seekers can complete all services related to land through mobile option, including cancellation of land registration, registration, deposit of various fees, collection of receipts, without appearing directly at the land office. As a result, they have been freed from the violence of middlemen for a long time.
The current government has adopted a plan to build a better Bangladesh by establishing Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041 and Smart Bangladesh Roadmap including 4 pillars Smart Citizen, Smart Society, Smart Economy and Smart Governance. In line with this, the Ministry of Land has undertaken several activities to make land services more accessible to people, among which Digital Land Services is one of them.
They also said that at present land management automation software has increased the dynamism and transparency in all land related activities. Apart from this, e-mutation, online land development tax collection system, digital record room, receipt of certificates and certificates by post, digital surveying and mapping, online water lease, land zoning, online hearing system, hotline service (16122) etc. through which land services have been launched. Reaching the doorstep of the common people.
Kanungo, surveyors, union land assistant officers and union land sub-assistant officers of land office of Paba upazila, Tanor upazila and Godagari upazila participated in the training workshop.
