The ‘Primary Education Medal Award 2026’ and tree planting program was held in Pirojpur amidst colorful arrangements. The program was organized at 10 am on Wednesday (July 15) at the premises of Deonakhali Government Primary School No. 48 in Sadar Upazila under the initiative of Pirojpur District Administration.
‎​Earlier, the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, inaugurated the nationwide program and distributed medals at the main program organized at the China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka as the chief guest. After the inauguration, the Prime Minister planted a commemorative tree at the venue and inspected the attractive stalls of various primary schools from 64 districts of the country.

‎​As part of this central program, Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed attended the Pirojpur district-level program as the chief guest and distributed medals and planted trees.
‎​Pirojpur District Council Administrator Principal Alamgir Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Alauddin Bhuiyan Joni, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Nasrin Jahan and Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Mamunur Rashid were present as special guests at the event. District Assistant Primary Education Officer Md. Anisur Rahman and Sadar Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Shahidul Islam were also present, among others.
‎​Speakers at the event highlighted the importance and necessity of tree plantation for improving the quality of primary education, exploring the talents of students and protecting the environment. The event ended in a very joyful and festive atmosphere in the presence of teachers, students, guardians and local dignitaries of Deonakhali Government Primary School.
