Md. Monir Hossain :Â Bangladesh’s senior journalist Dr. Abu Abdullah M. Saleh is better known as Saleh Shibli. He was appointed as the Press Secretary to the 11th Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman. Saleh Shibli was born in Faridganj Upazila of Chandpur district. His village is in Gobindapur Union.
He earned a master’s degree from Dhaka University. He also earned a PhD in media and administration. Saleh Shibli was also Tarique Rahman’s press secretary when he was the acting chairman of BNP. He served as the First Secretary (Press) of the Kolkata Deputy High Commission during the four-party coalition government.
Saleh Shibli has published several articles on women’s empowerment in Bangladesh in the magazine Asian Bridge published by Japan’s Kitakyushu Forum on Asian Women (KFAW). He earned a PhD in media and administration. He has also worked as a non-resident fellow with the Sydney Policy and Research Centre, an Australian-based political research institute.
